Yoga And Meditation

I qualified as a yoga teacher in November with 300 hours of teacher training with Treeliving Yoga, and I am Yoga Alliance Certified, and fully insured.

I am using this page to share yoga and meditation content as I begin to practice teaching, inspired by my recent course with Treeliving yoga, as well as other sources of inspiration.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra

Here is a link to my first recording of a guided yoga nidra meditation that lasts 45 minutes. Please make yourself comfortable in a lying position before practicing. Rest your head on the ground if possible so that your spine isn’t compromised, but support any joints or body parts for total comfort. Spread your limbs so that you have no skin on skin contact. Make sure you are warm, and in a safe, comfortable, safe (and sacred space if possible), where you will not be disturbed. Dim the lights for best experience.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is the piece of the puzzle that we are missing. We intentionally do our ‘yang’ yoga (ie strengthening, high intensity, muscle focussed, heating) as an addition to our yang lifestyles (ie. caffeine, sugar, alcohol, work, business, go-go-go!), but how often to we INTENTIONALLY take ourselves in to restful, restorative, recharging states (other than getting in to bed on an evening and expecting a proper, restful night’s sleep - which let’s be honest most people don’t actually get anymore!…)

When we figure out how to properly recharge ourselves with a proper yin practice, then we will find that our yang lifestyles and practices seemingly effortlessly begin to expand too!……
